It will not answer your questions although Arnold signed his name (not bad for 1809) while Ann made her mark. It might be worth noticing that the witnesses were Michael Batt and Terence O'Brien, not Waters or Blows, but do not make too much of that. Anthony
Transcriptions from parish registers in the London Metropolitan Archives have been available on Ancestry since earlier this year. For marriages after 1837 the register has the same format as a GRO certificate so big savings in time and expense to be made there. There are untranscribed scans going even further back.
