Hi, yes I found Isaac and Martha in IGI for Hitchin and their marriage at Ickleford , and wondered if a quick email to HALS would reveal that all four children were bapt on the same day in 1807 but in fact were born in the years between 1797 and 1807 , my experience is that the vicar or the parish clerk would have written the exact dates of birth or private bapt beside each child`s name , and it would be worth getting a small search done in Hitchin St Mary bapts to check this ..........you may thereby find that William was born in 1799 which would rather confirm your William of the census . It might also in the bapt register give Isaac`s occupation , not certain , and if he was a farmer or corn dealer or a similar occupation it might tie the facts together . And a similar email to Essex RO for the marriage register of Waltham Holy Cross for Wm and Harriet`s marriage c 1822 - 1829. You never know who acted as witnesses to the marriage if there is a Martha or Isaac then you have probably hit the jackpot !!! Good luck !!! life is hard . soften it with a cat \\\=^..^=/// ----- Original Message ----- From: "Simon Harding" <simon@greynose.net> To: <eng-hertfordshire@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 14, 2010 12:17 AM Subject: Re: [HRT] WEBSTER, PALLETT > Elizabeth > Thanks for your help.
