Here are some servants' details I found in the archive that form part of an essay I'm writing. I thought they might be of help to someone. >From reading the wages book for Gorhambury House, I think the dairymaid worked inside the house rather than on the farm as she was paid with the indoor, not the outdoor servants. She was one of 10-12 indoor servants at the house at the time. Girls were recruited from outside the house for the position, with no girls stepping into the post from another role inside the house and no dairymaids moving on to other positions at Gorhambury. Sadly, I have no further info on these girls.
