Hi all, I have recently found that a person I am researching lived at Ayot Lodge, Ayot St Peters when she got married in 1951. Does anyone know if this address still exists? What sort of house it is? I would be most grateful for any information. Kind regards Diana

Diana: A good online resource is Ayot St Peter - The Parish Story available on line at http://www.welwyn.org.uk/aythis/aythis.htm There are a couple of references to Ayot Lodge including to Councillor Davies elected reasonably close to your date (1965). Ayot Green is where my ggg grandmother was born. It is still a nice place despite its proximity to the A1.
