Hi Mary Anne >From Maurices birth registration I found his mothers maiden name was Quinn from this I found that Edwin E Britnell married Mary A Quinn 1931 1stQuarter 1a 351 Kensington registration district (I presume the A is for Agnes) I found the following children Henry J Britnell 1931 3rdQuarter 1a 943 Chelsea registration district Mary M Britnell 1935 2nd Quarter 3a see D35 Watford registration district Mary M Britnell 1935 4th Quarter 3a 1405 Watford registration district Margereta M Britnell 1940 1st Quarter 3a 2339 Watford registration district Constance P Britnell1945 4th Quarter 3a 1943Watford registration district The first entry for Mary was hanwritten at the bottom of the page and the see D35 I beleive means see Dec quarter (4th)1935 The reference I have given are from the General Register Office Index and you would need this information if you wished to order certificates.
