Hi, I am new to this list and have just started looking for my family in Hertford. I am looking for any information on a William Henry Oram born in 1805 in Stowey, Somerset. He married a Charlotte Hickman Busby in 1827 in Stepney, London. On the 1851 census he is living in St Andrews Street, Hertford with his wife and family Emily b 1833, William b. 1835, Thomas b. 1837, Edward b. 1840, Charlotte Anne b. 1841 and Frederick b. 1845. All the children were born in Hertford. Cannot find them on the 1841 census? William also had another son Henry Busby b. 1829 (not quite sure where, birth different on each census) Does anyone on this list have any info on this family. I am also trying to find what life was like in Hertford at the time this family was there. William was a Solicitors General Clerk. Where may he have worked there? Any help!! Thanks Gail
