Helpful to have ERNEST Frederick Briars. This baptism is on IGI. The name is not common. Therefore a death registered in 1848 at Hobart Tasmania of Ernest Frederick Griffiths born 1824 is close enough to bear scrutiny. The 96th were in the area at the time.
