>From Michael Blain Wellington Cathedral of St Paul. "The previous priest, the erratic Ritualist Arthur Baker, had just fled the country after charges of sexual assault against a schoolgirl from Nelson. Henry St Hill, a leading church member and the resident magistrate, had heard the case brought against his own parish priest." This predates his sermon on Temptation and its Value! To be fair Baker's conviction was quashed by the NZ Supreme Court; there was a Civil Trial as well as a Criminal Trial and the former resulted in Baker being awarded damages. A lengthy paper on the trials written in 2005 can be found as a PDF file by Googling for Arthur Baker and Wellington.
