Jean, Is your John Fordham descended from the Fordhams who had Tuthill Manor in the 1600's or the Fordham who married a Mary Turner b 1617 in Reed? regards Carolyn
Many thanks Thelma - I would love the image if you can send it it. In 1861, the entry again is not very clear - looks like Worsley, Herts or Hants but it could be Hunts!!! Many thanks for your help. Hi Carolyn I wish I knew!!! All I have (so far!!) is: Jonathan FORDHAM born 1789 - I don;'t know where. He married Elizabeth Johanne LARKIN in 1814 at Wyddil, Hertford. Jonathan died in 1841 at Dane End, Little Munden and Elizabeth in 1863 also at Dane End. They had 16 children and I am descended from Emma who was born in 1816. I would love to get further back but have not yet found out who Jonathan's parents were or where he was born. Thanks for your interest. Sue, I have films at my local LDS on WESTMILL. I will be more than willing to take a look at the films and see if I can find MARGARET SILVERSIDE. When I checked the IGI files to see what film it would be on, seems all of her info has been compiled by LDS members and no source is listed. If you check the Ancestral file that comes up, it shows 3 different submitters. I will be going to my local LDS FHC on Thursday evening, will let you know if I find her. Regards, Theresa E. Hi List, How can I find the parents of Margaret SILVERSIDE? I do not drive and no public transportation. Margaret was born abt. 1547. I believe it was Westmill but not certain. She married Thomas RICHARDSON b. 1543 in Westmill. They were married at St. Albans Abbey, Hertfordshire, England on 15 June 1567. Thomas was the son of Thomas RICHARDSON and Mary Unknown. I have been looking for many years for her parents and date of birth or christening. Sue macduff@infionline.net

Sorry can't answer your query. But I married a Nigel Guy Neilson HAMPTON (b.1948) in Enfield Middx 1969, whose father was Edward I believe (I think E.H.W.Hampton). Bishops Stortford is easily in Enfield's 'patch', or the other way around. May find there is a connection some time. Thanks to all who helped me with the search of the TALL family and particularly this Mary Ann Tall in the 1871 census. I found her with some help from a cousin of mine, in Hitchin a domestic servant, but was transcribed as Maryan Fall. Thank you all once again for the kind help, very much appreciated. Regards Eunice
Is there anyone out there that could find this person at all on the 1871 census. I have had some help but we still can't locate her anywhere at the moment. Also thanks to the people who did respond it left me with a few leads but so far it has hit a brick wall. Eunice
Please note that it should be Alfred Omant NOT ARTHUR. Mine may have started in Bucks, but the only ancient information I have is a birth in Enfield c1807, of my 3x great grandfather, Joseph HAMP/HEMP, then his marriage, 1833 in London, after which he moved to Ware, where he died. He and his wife had about 16 children. Some of the children then went back to London, my gggrandparents were one of the couples that did.
