My g.grandmother Susannah PRICE was born in l847. Her birth certificate tells me she was born at Weobley however I have been told there is no baptism entry for her there. Her brother William, born three years later always says he is born at Ledgemoor and I was wondering whether there would have been a chapel there at that time which might explain the two missing baptisms. I have located baptisms for all of Susannah's remaining siblings so I doubt that these two would have been "missed out". Can anyone advise? Many thanks Diane Johansen

Diane, Isn't it a small world, when i was little we lived at Ledgemoor, my mothers Aunt, Mary Jane Herbert (Nee Chandler) lived at Orchard Cottage, Victoria Road, and when she died we moved from Hereford to live at Ledgemoor. Victoria Road is the road which comes down the bank and meets at a junction about 50 yards from the chapel. As i recollect it was not a chapel then, but was used as a workshop for repairing vintage cars. Anyway, i am going on Wednesday morning to Weobley, the Local History Society are having an Open Morning to show off the re-vamped Museum and research facilities at their place in Back Lane, Weobley, i will see if i can find about Ledgemoor Chapel while i am there.
