Joseph Bowen PROSSER was a first cousin to my g.g.grandmother, Susannah PRICE. He was born in Weobley in l8l7, illeg. s/o Jane PROSSER (later ARCHER). He married Eliza JONES in Weobley in l840 and they had three known daughters: Ann, b. l84l/2 Hampton Bishop, Hef. Eliza, b. l843/4 Weobley, Hef. Thirza, b. l850 Weobley, Hef. I have found the family on the l85l Census living in Weobley where Joseph was a master shoemaker and Eliza a milliner/dressmaker. I would love to find Joseph and Eliza on the l84l Census - either at Weobley or Hampton Bishop. Otherwise, perhaps they are on the l86l or l87l Census still at Weobley?? Their daughter, Thirza, was known as "Mabel Thirza" and she emigrated to Australia.We know that Joseph Bowen PROSSER became a missionary although where and when we are unsure. If anyone can help us locate Joseph and Eliza on earlier or later censuses then that would be a wonderful help. Thank you Diane Johansen
