Ah! Hadn't thought of that ! does anyone know the inhabitants in the 1881 and 1891 and 1901 census of the Lancaster Arms, at Pandy on the Abergavenny-to-Hereford road and rail.? there is a dark tale of goings-on between my g-grandfather John Phillips and the landlady Mrs. Price. whom he subseqently married. His son was so disapproving that he left home and never returned. That is a pity because that was my grandfather and if he hadn't been so hasty I might own the hotel myself by now.
