I was interested to find the following entry on the l89l Pembridge Census. RGl2 2077, fol. 110 page l9 West Street, Pembridge John THORNTON, Head, Mar., 38, Ag. Lab., b. Hef. Lingen Mary, Wife, 40, b. Radnorshire, Radnor John, Son, Single, l5, b. Pembridge Sarah, Daur., l2, b. Pembridge Thomas PRICE, Adopted Son, 11, b. Pembridge James THORNTON, 11, Son, b. Pembridge Arthur , 5, Son, b. Pembridge Harry, Son, 7, b. Pembridge Agnes, Daur., 6, b. Pembridge My great grandfather, Charles PRICE, was born l856 in Pembridge, s/o Thomas and Mary PRICE, and his younger brother Thomas was baptised there in l858. There is no mention of his brother Thomas on any Censuses - so I assumed he had died. I wonder whether I have "found" him. It looks as if I need to check for the death of a Thomas PRICE, infant, in Pembridge between l858 and l860. Can anyone help? This is a real mystery. By l86l the PRICE family are living in Presteigne, Radnor- with a son Aaron aged 1 b. Radnor. So it looks as if the family moved there ca. l859. If this is "my" Thomas...why would he have been adopted by a family with even more children than his own? Many thanks Diane Johansen
