My great-grandmother's sister, Jane PRICE, was born at Ledgemoor Common in l842 and was baptised at Kings Pyon Parish Church. She married William POWELL (s/o Thomas POWELL) at Kington Baptist Chapel, District of Presteigne, in l866 although both resided at Holms Marsh, Lyonshall. Witnesses were William DAVIES & Elizabeth POWELL Jane and William were parents to: (all bap. Lyonshall) Albert Thomas, b. l867 Emma Gertrude, b. l872 William Price, b. l874 George Henry, b. l877 Elijah, b. l88l The family lived at (1)Woontons Ash, (2)Sowerbrook and (3)Letfield Bank, Lyonshall. Albert Thomas must have married ca. l887 and was already a widower by l89l, aged 24. He may have had a daughter, Blanche Ethel POWELL, b. l887 Rhulan, Radnor. By l90l Emma , aged 28, was named APPERLEY however she, too, was widowed early. Elijah was transcribed as "Elyah" on the l90l. I have checked the NBI for any Lyonshall burials but they are not late enough to be of help. I am not sure whether Jane and her family remained in Lyonshall post l90l or whether they eventually joined the rest of the PRICEs in Merthyr, S. Wales. Can anyone connect?
