On behalf of a distant cousin, I am searching for the marriage of Thomas PREECE (b. Lyonshall l836) to a Mary WATKINS. I believe I have found the correct couple living in Merthyr, S.Wales, in l88l (although this Thomas PREECE is aged 37 and should have been at least 44!). Mary Ann PREECE (b.WATKINS) is said to be 35 born "Analy" (possibly Almeley) and their eldest child given is Edwin William PREECE aged l5 born "not known, Hef." I searched for any possible marriages around l860-l865 and came up with one possibility on Free BMD: Tenbury, 6c 311, Sept Qtr l866, however when my cousin sent off for the certificate he was told there was no record there of this marriage. As there were several names given under this reference it is probable that the Thomas PREECE and Mary WATKINS listed did not actually marry each other! Can anyone help my cousin with the Hef. marriage of a Thomas PREECE to a Mary WATKINS ca. l860-65? He has helped me endlessly with our joint PRICE interests and I would like to return the favour.
