Hi I`ve just recieved a copy of a certificate showing the marriage of a Henry JONES (58, woodcutter father richard SMITH a collier)) to a Hannah GUNDY (57,father James JONES a collier)) living at Joyford. Hannah was born a JONES but no relation to Henry that I know of. In 1855 she had a daughter Jane with no father mentioned. In 1857 hannah married a Benjamin GUNDY and Jane was living with Hannah`s mother Henry married a Mary(maiden name may have been HARRIS)and this was shown on the 1861 census. By 1871 Henry and Hannah was living together(Hannah was the housekeeper)and they had a son henry in 1878. In 1889 they married Henry 58, a widower and Hannah 57, a widow but Benjamin Gundy didn`t die until 1895. Confused? I am.
