Hi: I've just joined this list. After five years of searching, I finally confirmed my great, great, great grandmother was Ann MORRIS, born to WIlliam and Ann MORRIS in 1796 in Hope under Dinmore. An IGI extraction notes her christening on 4 September 1796. She married Edward Powell (second wife) of Culmington on 5 August 1833 in St. Chad in Shrewbury. Edward was a farm labourer all his life and except for this one excursion seems to have lived in Culmington from birth until death in 1876. Ann died in Stoke St. Millborough in 1881. I cannot find a marriage for William and Ann Morris, nor can I find any other children born to them in Hope under Dinmore, so in a vain straw-clutching effort, I'm wondering if anyone has any connections with this family and if so, could they please get in touch.
