    3. Hi Des, this message also undeliverable so sending to list, Yes I already have Ann Preece with Martha and Thomas in the 1841 census, I purchased just the two 1841 census CDs from Archive CD Books that covered the villages that I'd seen mention of close to Norton Canon. I wasn't sure that it was her at first because when Martha married in 1852 in Middlesex, she married as Martha Price, (Martha and her widowed mother Ann, also in Middlesex weren't literate, and I guess their accents decided what was written) and I've therefore had difficulty finding anything about her. You coming up with the Kinnersley link first made me think of a possible in-law family connection to Austin, often that's what you need to change your thinking, so thank you.. As to finding the birth and baptism of Thomas AUSTIN, well I went to the FamilySearch site at <www.familysearch.org/> if you haven't used this site before, make sure you just search the IGI, and even there only take seriously the extracted records (it will tell you this at bottom of record) as these are directly transcribed from parish records. Some entries on the IGI are patron submissions from members of the LDS church, as filling in their ancestry is part of their religion. Many of these are taken from family lore, old bibles, some rely on supposition that everyone marries at 21, children born at correct intervals etc. I've even seen a birth recorded for a Mrs Sarah Preece (born married?) I've had another search today for Thomas AUSTIN that might better link with the Kings Pyon marriage, and although he didn't come on a search, a Thomas who looks like his father did come up in Kinnersley. By clicking on the batch number of the extracted record at bottom of page, I just searched for Austin with parents Thomas & Sarah and up came Thomas baptised 1803 with brother Edward baptised 1808 in Kinnersley. Strange he didn't come up on direct search, but the moral is never give up. I've been at this for a while now, but I'm still learning all the time. Learning that my Martha Price/Preece was born in Herefordshire was a learning curve for me, out came my A-Z familiarising myself with new place names. These lists are a boon, having someone more knowledgeable than you to answer your questions is wonderful, genealogy people are so very kind and helpful. I did a quick search for any James Preece marriages between 1856 to 1866 and these came up, they look beautiful on copy and paste, but I suspect that they may arrive less tidy.
