I hope that someone on the list may be able to help me in my research with this family names as their seems to be conflicting information back here in Australia as a family with the same surname exists. Here is the information I have at hand, one Dorothy Anne Cookman born unknown and parents unknown at this stage, married one Marshall Robert Macfarlane on the 1st of October 1917? at Ickleford. Hurts, England. Marshall was an Australian World War one serviceman and injured during the war and was sent to England, it was during this time he meet Dorothy Ann Cookman after returning to Australia, he went back to England and married Dorothy Ann Cookman and then the both of them returned to Australia as Mr. & Mrs. Macfarlane. What I'm now looking for is help if someone could find record of this marriage please? And also if it were possible to find out who Dorothy parents were please? Marshall Robert Macfarlane was my Grandmothers brother, and this information is needed to finish this line of the family, I hope to be able to find this and be able to let Mother have this she is now turning 92 years.
