Hello List, I would appreciate any clarification that someone might bring to this. I had assumed that the family I had been researching had for some years lived at The Burcott, Hereford - on the strength of census info. The recent e-mails have made me wonder if in fact they lived a little closer to town, if as has been said Burcott Row (as was) is off Widemarsh Street. In 1871 mine were at Osborne Cottages (in All Saints parish.) They seem still to have been at the same address in 1881, but now it is given as Osborne Cotts., Burcott Row (again, in All Saints) Can anyone elucidate, please - and confirm that (for mine at least) St. John's parish is a red herring.
