    3. Hello Raymond, http://www.pjoiner.demon.co.uk/genuki/HRT/Ickleford/index.html shows Ickelford is in Hertfordshire (s.e.England), not in Herefordshire, a more pleasant part of the country, given as Hurts in your email. Had few credits left so went into 1837 on line which shows a Dorothy A. Cookman, married Macfarlane, Hitchin (Hertfordshire beware Chapman codes for abbreviations). December quarter 1917. The relevant volume and page numbers are given and I have saved but not at at all sure I have read them correctly, and it would mean a search of the site to check the numbers with the Macfarlane entry. (Five UK pounds paid in advance, gives about 50 searches). The marriage cert should be easily available with on-line purchase and hopefully give names of both sets of parents, though mum only if one of the participants born out of wedlock. Write me offline if you want to see my interpretation of the volume and page number for marriage, but do not rely upon my reading. Cheers, Jo. Shropshire, bordering Herefordshire
