Hi Connie Yes you are on the right track with Linton near Ross. But what are the films that you mention? Are they the BTs or the PRs? As I said in a previous message, many gaps in the former. Also not everyone was baptised at the parish church, by the 19th century many people were non-conformists and did not have their children baptised there. So they may not appear in the parish registers. Also are you certain you are looking for a Mary JAMES? As I said her birth surname may be different to the one she married with - you need her marriage certificate to establish that. So I am on the right track with Linton near Ross? Funny I can't find them in the films I am looking at right now at the FHC. Will look again.
