Hi! I have peroblem with a will of 1750. There is a reference to a street in Presteigne. The word 'Street' is clear enough but the actual name is unclear. It is short, probably four letters. The only possible on the web Multimap is 'High Street'. However the last letter has a curved descender and so is 'g' or less probably 'y'. The penultimate letter is a small circle and so 'a', 'e' or 'o'. Any suggestions are very welcome. I can then see if there is a fit with the remains of the first letter or two.
