Hi list, Couple of days ago I put a thank you message on the list telling of the great help Phil Gwilliam had been in finding my CHARLOTTE WHEELER [nee Wicks]. Born abt. 1799 in Tetbury, she seems to have been a lifelong servant to the very interesting family PENOYRE, on the Moor in Clifford. Surprised to find Charlotte had a daughter MARY in 1831 who was a lady's maid until the 'lady', ANNA MARIA N. S. PENOYRE died in HAY, Mar quar. 1874. No death found for Mary. But Charlotte is in the 1881 census as 'annuitant' in Clifford. But my message was returned. Now I wonder if I did not have the new address. Guess I will know if this is returned!
