Hi I'm new to the list and my main surname interest is BANFORD. The BANFORD's originated in Mathon then moved to Pencombe. Samuel BANFORD b.1788 Mathon, d.1853 Pencombe? he was a carpenter and Wheelwright and is mentioned in the various directories. His two sons Thomas BANFORD b.1819 Pencombe and John BANFORD b.1825 Pencombe took over the wheelwrights business in Pencombe. The family lived at Court Farm, Pencombe and then at Bank House Pencombe. Apparently Court Farm was rebuilt in 1863. Is anyone aware of any old photos/images of the farm? Any information on the Banford's would be welcome. Thanks Fiona
