Hi List, Many thanks for all the responses to my South appeal, still in the dark, William South b.1727 married Elizabeth Rofs, in Leigh Worcester, and he was a wheelwright, I am trying to trace his father and mother, I have ordered the film for Much Cowarne, and Bishop Frome to see whether William South and Susannah were married there. I had found the marriage to William and Susana Wall but as 3 children had been born before there date of 1731 I had thought that this may be another William, I have found a William South married to a Susannah from Yorkshire in 1723, but I am not sure if they moved that far. I would like to put a special thanks in for Alec and Polly, for there kind help. Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated as I am wondering around in the dark, like most that get back this far, and I do not know much about Hereford at all. Kindest regards. Wens
Wens I definitely would be looking for an Elizabeth ROSS, given the older English version of writing a double S. Looks a lot like *fs* but actually is *ss*.
