Regards Gordon Evans Wirral UK >Hi >I am new to this list and thought I would post my interests. >I am looking for any BEMAND ancestors that originally came from Church >Stoke, Montgomeryshire in Wales (around the 1830's) and moved to Leominster >(Humber / Risbury) area. I believe they lived at Upper Farm House in Humber >and a relative still lives there to this day, but unfortunately don't know >who they are. >In 1876 my 3x great grandfather, Robert BEMAND was the Rector of St. Mary's >Church in Humber and his daughter Fanny BEMAND married William Henry >DICKENS >who was the School Master of the National School (Church School) at that >time. >My line descends from William H DICKENS and Fanny E BEMAND. >Their children >were Arthur Stanley DICKENS and Harold Evelyn DICKENS. Both born in > >Humber >at the House which is attached to the National School. >I am not sure but I also believe that Robert BEMAND (buried June 1899) and >his wife Sarah were buried at the St. Mary's Churchyard in Humber. Don't >know if William H DICKENS was buried there in June 1885. >I would love to hear from anyone who is related to the BEMANDS or DICKENS, >and anyone who has photo's of teachers of the National School during 1875 - >1885. >Regards >Holly Oakley >Sydney, Australia
