All replies were direct, so for those that didn't get to read it: No, burial details are not included on the death certificate because the death certificate is required to authorise the burial. Australian death certificates are a mini-biography (if the informant is reliable) and include the burial details, that's why I thought the UK certificates might too. This reminds me of a funny story: About 8 yrs ago when I was in England on holidays, I saw a guidebook about Australia and read the first paragraph out of curiosity to find out what other people think of us. It read: "Everything in Australia is backwards - even the trees which don't shed their leaves, they shed their bark!" Its true, they do, and until that point, I had never considered it weird. Sandra
