Hallo Barbara, I saw this e-mail about Pencombe and wondered if you could have a look in your documents for John GRAINGER who married Elizabeth GITTOES at Pencombe on 2 Dec 1746. He is not a direct ancestor: my Graingers were millers in Hereford at this time, but I have been wondering if he is related to them, because they did move about quite a lot. Two got married in Pershore, Worcs. during the 18th c. (they were still described in the Register as "of Hereford St. Owen"), and others in London. I can't see John's christening in the IGI: a possible christening for Elizabeth is at Hope under Dinmore, Herefs., on 9 Dec 1722, and John and Elizabeth had a son John christened at Pencombe on 15 June 1748. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Bert Pemberton (HFHS 1838)
