Hello Maureen, If I remember correctly,this area falls within the ancient area of Archenfield.I read an excellent book with a multitude of information on the area some years ago,I think it was borrowed from the library.Maybe Phil who has much more knowledge of Herefordshire than myself could enlighten us? The upcoming Herefordshire Family History Fair could be an excellent place to obtain information.Just another possible line of enquiry.
