Back after a few month's absence and still pursuing my Cox family. I have now tracked them down to Tewkesbury in the 1861 Census (RG9/1806/41/25) but I would appreciate some help with place names: Thomas head 38 years was born in "Churchend" - I can see that Church End is north of Tewkesbury just off the A38 but having checked GENUKI I do not know whether it is Glos or Hereford - or one of those awful places that alternates. Can anyone help? Eliza his wife 35 years was born somewhere that looks like Poun*ho*e : I cannot find anywhere that looks like this in either county, but I would guess it somewhere around Tewkesbury - any suggestions please? Harriet and Louisa their daughters, 9 and 7 respectively, were born in "Hereford" but I suspect this means the country rather than the City. Still can't find them on the 1871 census anywhere. Love to hear from anyone looking for this family. thanks Sian
