I see the list is pretty quiet at the moment but I hope that there's still a few readers around. I'm trying to discover something of my 4xg grandfather Thomas PRICE in Herefordshire. All that I think I know of him is that he probably married Ann GWILLIM in Clifford in 1824. My 3xg grandmother, his daughter Martha, was born in Norton Canon, about 1830, according to census images after her marriage in Middlesex. In the 1851 census Ann PRICE, widow, 48, is living with her married sister Mary 55, both born Kinnersley, and husband John ROBB in Middlesex, but she is not with them in the 1841 census. I have found in the 1841 census in Norton Canon the following:- Looks like living in 'Kedcastle' ?, with 'Parks' further down the page Ann PREECE, 41, widow Martha PREECE, 10 Thomas PREECE, 8, all born in county Does anyone think that this could be them. There is another PREECE family further down the page, a Sawyer as Thomas was. James PREECE, 30, Sawyer Eleanor PREECE, 25 James PREECE, 3 George PREECE, 2 all born county Does anyone have any thoughts or connections to these families. I have from the burial index the following:- Thomas Price, 51, buried Peterchurch 15 May 1838 Thomas Price, 50, buried Hereford 2 Oct 1838 Thomas Price, 62, buried Clifford 4 Oct 1838 One of these may be him, but the burial index only goes up to 1839, so my Thomas may not be there at all. Hi Cathy It is strange that I haven't seen a Price/Preece query for ages, and then I have had three in two weeks!
