Re Coroners' reports: though I have not found coroners' reports as such, I have found accounts of inquests on three of my family members in various Herefordshire newspapers between 1845 and 1915. The staff at the Hereford Library and the Records Office have been very obliging in looking these up and photocopying them for a small charge. Normally, inquests were held very soon indeed after a death and commonly in the home of the deceased. The newspaper reports therefore follow very shortly. I have found the write-ups to contain verbatim accounts of the evidence given, plus details of witnesses etc, and they have provided me with a fascinating insight into family history, often including details I have not obtained anywhere else. Good luck with the search! Liz Summerson
