Hi Lee Civil Registration did not begin in England and Wales until 1 Jul 1837, so you will not be able to find a birth record for this couple. However prior to the introduction of civil registration, most vital events were recorded in parish registers of baptisms, marriages (as you have already found) and burials. So if your couple were still alive in 1841, or 1851 or later, you need to check the census to see if you can find out where they *claim* to have been born, and then start checking the parish registers for their baptisms.
