Hello Jenny, Sorry I can't help with the Millenium book. But I also have a Goodwin in my family. Wondering if you may have come across any of these folks? Mary Ann Goodwin b abt 1837/8 Kington Herefordshire. I have been unable to confirm her birth. 1851 census Eye HER, listed as 12 yrs, and lodger with Thomas Morris Farmer 1861 census Servingtion, Acton Beauchamp HER 23 yrs Dairy Maid employed by Charles Browne, Farmer Mary Ann married Thomas Perkins of Acton Beauchamp in May of 1861. She lists her parents as James and Mary Goodwin. In 1892, Mary Ann is baptized in Acton Beauchamp, and gives her age as 53, and parents as James and Mary Goodwin. There was another adult baptism at that same time as well. I can find no marriage for a James and Mary Goodwin around the Kington area, nor a birth there for Mary Ann. I have always wondered if she may have been an orphan, perhaps born in a work house or similar situation. Mary Ann came to SK Canada in 1903 with some of her children and died in 1913. Any info or ideas gratefully accepted.
