Hello Trevor, It might be worth you taking a look at http://www.forest-of-dean.net/ website, you need to register, it is FREE and a great resource. In addition to transcribing the Parish Registers for the Forest of Dean there are Herefordshire Parishes that border on the FOD including Weston-under-Penyard. Visit the site and having registered do a search on 'ston%r' and you will see a number of potential surname variants and some events in WuP. You will need to check what the current coverage is and perhaps check back regularly.
