George LEWIS was born c1809, probably in Hereford, and married Ann Matthews in 1829 at Clehonger. They subsequently moved to Hay on Wye. They were my wife Gwlythin's 2x gt grandparents and had 5 children born between 1833 and 1845. The eldest, George, is the one my wife is descended from. The others were Peter, Charles Edmund and William. Both Georges were millers. George (1833) married into the Handley family who were also millers. I have met a brick wall at George (1809).
