    3. Hi Dawn I already have the census but thank you all the same. I have not worked out who James was; it is possible that the name is coincidental as he was described as a male servant. There are several of that name in the 1851 census so I am unable to ascertain where he was born other than Breconshire from the 1841 census. There are also several possible candidates in the IGI who were born at the appropriate time. The fact that he was born in Breconshire and not Herefordshire also suggests that he was not a close relative. Many thanks for coming back to me.
