Dear list, I have a few death certificates which I ordered but turned out not to be the right ones. If anyone would like them please let me know and I will happily send them: 17/2/1861 Harriett Walters, wife of Thomas Walters, died aged 48, Ledbury 25/1/1865 Henry Walters, son of Michael Walters, died aged 3, Ledbury 27/9/1882 William Walters, died aged 77, Brimfield (son George Walters) Also, if anyone has any information on the people I'm looking for, it would be most appreciated: Harriet or Hannah Walters, wife of William Walters, died between April 1860 (birth of daughter Agnes) and April 1861 (census). Family lived in Homend St., Ledbury. Born Harriet Smith ca. 1811. Henry Walters, born ca. 1780 in Bishops Frome, married Mary Price in Avenbury in 1803. Died between Aril 1861 & April 1871, lived in Homend, Ledbury. Wife Mary also died between same dates. William Walters born ca. 1805 in Bromyard, married to Harriet as above, son of Henry & Mary as above. Living in Grendon Bishop with daughter Sarah Haskell in April 1881. Hi Richard, The Harriet in your certificate is the right age. Could it be that the informant was confused, or confused the registrar? There are only two other possibilities in your timeframe (Harriet at Neath or Hannah at Whitechapel). I don't know what details may be available on the parish or cemetery records, but I think that it is worth trying to view them in case either record her husband as William.
