Hi Everyone. I'm researching someone murdered in Pennsylvania, USA. Sounds like I'm way off base right? Interestingly enough this occured pre-Rev. War. A Capt. Jacob was supposedly killed on Sept. 8th, 1756 and the official records here say he did die on that date. One source says his death was confirmed by his scalp and items on his person. Another source says he was burned to death in his cabin. Today I went to the PA State Archives building and found some very old hand written documents that claim that he was seen with his family alive the day AFTER the masacur. The source of the information was from a young boy living with the French. The source of the story wsa a set of books called "London's History. Indian Wars. Vol. 71 (possibly 11). 173 The article was written by a man named Robinson. I've searched the web and found absolutly NOTHING on these books, files, or the story of the young boy. I have had my suspicians (or hopes) that Capt. Jacob survived before and now I have found a possibility but I can't find the books. Can you help? Thanks, Renee L.
