Hi all Just a note with my Herefordshire interests in case anyone is on the same track (Ahnentafel report) 1 Thomas POWELL. (my GG Grandfather) Born in 1820 in Orcop, Herefordshire. Thomas died bef 1881. On 4 May 1844 when Thomas was 24, he married Mary GWATKIN, in Ruxton Chapel, Marstow, Hereford. (Mary born sometime around 1824 St Weonards and died after 1901 - Parents Walter and Sarah (formerly THOMAS) GWATKIN) They had the following children: i. Harriett (1847-) ii. William (1851-) iii. Alice (1853-) iv. Mary A (1854-) v. George (1857-) vi. Thomas (1859-1891) vii. James (1861-<1917) (my G Grandfather) viii. Peter (1865-) ix. Fanny (1867-) x. John (1871-) 2 Thomas POWELL. Born in 1781in Orcop. Thomas died in St Weonards, Herefordshire on 10 May 1833, he was 52. On 23 Mar 1809 when Thomas was 28, he married Catherine GRIFFITHS, in Orcop, Herefordshire. They had the following children: i. Harriet (1810-) ii. Jane (1811-) iii. Catherine (1812-) iv. Ann (1813-) v. Alice (1816-) vi. Charlotte (1818-) 1 vii. Thomas (1820-<1881) viii. William (1822-1843) ix. Susannah (1826-) 3 Catherine GRIFFITHS. Born in 1786. Catherine died in St Weonards, Herefordshire on 29 Oct 1839, she was 53. (Catherine remarried after the death of Thomas to James WOODHOUSE on 4 Nov 1836) 4 Richard POWELL. Born in 1755 in Orcop. On 24 Oct 1782 when Richard was 27, he married Joan HALL, in Orcop, Herefordshire. They had the following children: 2 i. Thomas (1781-1833) ii. Richard (1786-) iii. Ann (1789-) iv. John (1794-) 5 Joan HALL. Born in 1761 in Orcop. Joan died in 1800, she was 39. 8 Adam POWELL. Born in 1731. On 2 Sep 1754 when Adam was 23, he married Mary BEAVAN, in St Devereux, Hereford. They had the following children: 4 i. Richard (1755-) ii. Mary (1757-1757) iii. Elizabeth (1759-) iv. William (1762-) 9 Mary BEAVAN.
