Hello Hazel, You mentioned Olchon Court in conncection with your Smith family. In 1881, James Williams and Ann (formerly Lloyd, nee Smith) were farming Olchon Court. I recently found out that after Ann died in 1883, James Williams remarried and went to Australia. However, sometime in the mid 1900s, a James Smith farmed at Olchon Court. One of my Smith's had a son John Smith with a son called Arthur J. Smith, but seemed to change it from Arthur to James in the 1901 census. At this time, he was still in LLanddewi Cwm, Radnorshire. So, I don't know if he is the same James Smith who went to Olchorn Court later. I have some of my Smith's born in Kington, Herefordshire from 1755, but then some of them moved to Radnorshire. Two of the females married and farmed in Llanveynoe. One at Olchon Court, another at Pencrewe. I do not have all the baptisms of the Smith's in Kington, so could have moved to other places in Herefordshire before going to Radnorshire. If any of this fits anything you know, perhaps we can work somthing out? Best wishes, Maureen Jenkins.
