Dear List, My ancestor Richard Phillips (of Marden) was married to Elizabeth DUGGON in Marden parish church in 1833. On the 1851 census of Marden, she is shown as aged 38 and was said to have been born in the parish of St. Peter in Hereford City. Does anyone have any record of her baptism? She might still have been alive at the time of the 1881 census. Could anyone who has the 1881 census index tell me if Elizabeth Phillips is to be found on it? She would have been aged about 68 and probably living in the Marden area. What birthplace is given for her in 1881? Her husband Richard Phillips was born in Marden in about 1811 so would have been aged about 70 in 1881 if still alive. Thanks in advance! Best wishes James Phillips-Evans
