Hi List, My father and grandfather were born in Abertillery Wales, until the 1901 census came on line I believed my ggrandparents also came from Wales, ( no wonder I have been hitting that brick wall) now I learn they were born in Herefordshire. Thomas DAVIES was born 1862 in Barewood, Herefordshire, his wife Elizabeth ? was born 1863 in Kingstone, Herefordshire. Does anyone have any info on these two elusive ancestors of mine. None of the Thomas Davies born Herefordshire 1861-3 look to be from Barewood, but these are the only two others with no birth place other than (probably) the county. Both look possible (to me!), if that helps (unless he or the family has given another birthplace, probably not very likely as most of the others are still 'at home' with the parents).
