Dear All I was in Herefordshire a couple of weekends ago, researching my Merrick ancestors, one of whom married a Miss Mary Pye in 1704. She was, I believe, the daughter of Elizabeth and John Pye of Kilpeck, and sister of John of Thruxton (who died unmarried) and of Jemima Pye, who married a Russell. I'm fairly sure that Mary was the granddaughter of William Pye of Thruxton, who left an annuity for the poor in his 1689 will - a bequest which is still paid today. Does anyone have any connections or would like to share information?
