Many thanks to listers who helped with tracking down part of Sylvia's family in my message last week. I have still not found Sylvia in 1881, and she does not appear in the death or marriage registers prior to 1881. She was born 1860, and so I suspect she may well be away from home by then (although her sister Elizabeth born in 1856 is also elusive).
