Dear List, Does anyone know ANYTHING about the surname HACKLEY. My Hackley ancestors are proving frustratingly elusive and was just wondering whether anyone else had even heard of it. My ancestor William Hackley lived in Wellington but in the 1871 census he gives his place of birth as Mordiford and an age of 70 making him 10 years older than all previous evidence suggests. The IGI seems to cover Mordiford baptisms completely but his does not appear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes James Phillips-Evans
