Does anyone on the list have access to information regarding estates/large properties (and their owners) that might have employed gamekeepers? My 2 x Great Grandfather (William Powell) was a gamekeeper in Peterchurch (1860-1890 approx)and lived in a property called Park Gate but I have been unable to trace this property on a modern map. We have also had family members working as keepers in Bredwardine (Powell's in 1850/60) and Winforton (Thomas in 1880s) and would be interested to hear about possible properties in those areas too.
