Could anyone tell me whether St Nicholas Church is still in Hereford and its whereabouts if not where it was. Thanks Patricia White

Patricia, there is a St Nicholas Church in Hereford, but it is not the original St Nicholas, nor is it in the same location. Todays St Nicholas is situated adjacent to the Greyfriars Bridge (Or New Bridge as the locals prefer to call it). the old one was situated at the junction of King St and Bridge St, about 100 yds from the present one. Parish register deposited in HRO 1656-1926 (Marr 1969) Banns 1861-1996 (may be when it was built ??
