Hi All, I had no idea the 1851 cenus was indexed! Is there a kind soul out there who could check for any GAUNTLETTs? If there are none, then I know they had left by then. The list of records held in the Herefordshire Records Office is given at :- http://www.recordoffice.herefordshire.gov.uk/family_history.htm and this includes (under Census) the 1851 index for Herefordshire. Follow the link to the Herefordshire Family History Society Website and you will be guided to the Herefordshire Look Up Exchange page and the names of two Volunteers for look-ups in the 1851 Census Index for Herefordshire.
